Adelaide Farms is a family-owned and operated grocery store located on Adelaide St N in Arva, Ontario. The business serves the local community by offering fresh vegetables, fruits, and choice beef. The farm provides a wide variety of hand-harvested produce grown directly in their fields, including sweet corn, strawberries, asparagus, potatoes, tomatoes, beans, beets, broccoli, and many other vegetables. Customers can also purchase flowers such as gladiolas, marigolds, and sunflowers, as well as herbs like basil, chives, and parsley. Additional products available for sale include eggs, firewood, and jam. To provide a broader selection, the farm also carries items from other local growers, such as watermelon, cantaloupe, peaches, blueberries, apple cider, honey, and beef. The business has been in the family for over 40 years. It was originally started by Mark Roberts, who raised beef cattle with his sons, John and James. The operation eventually expanded to include fruit and vegetable farming, leading to the construction of a Produce Building in 1990. Following the passing of Mark in 2014, the farm continues to be owned and operated by John and James. They emphasize a commitment to quality by harvesting all of their produce by hand.
