Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google AdSense to show ads; both may set cookies and collect usage data under Google's own policies. We count page views on listings so owners can see how their listing is doing; these counts are not linked to you.
When you register we store your name, email address and a hashed password, plus the date you signed up and last signed in. We use your email to confirm your address, to send password reset links, and to tell you about claims, listings and reports you're involved in. We don't send marketing email and we don't sell or share your details with third parties.
When you claim or add a listing we keep the information you provide, including any email address you name for verification and notes for our team. Reports of listing problems are stored with the reporter's IP address and, if given, email address, so we can follow up and prevent abuse.
Listings contain business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites and descriptions gathered from public sources or supplied by owners. If a listing contains personal information about you (for example a sole proprietor's name) and you want it changed or removed, use the Report a problem link on the listing.
We set a session cookie when you sign in and a security token cookie for forms. Google's services may set their own cookies as described above.
Account data is kept while your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time. You may also ask what personal information we hold about you and have it corrected.
For privacy questions use the Report a problem link on any listing page, mentioning that your message is about privacy.
