About Backyard Escape Studios

Backyard Escape Studios is a home builder and developer located in the Argyle neighbourhood on Falcon Street. The company serves homeowners across Ontario, including the GTA, Ottawa, and cottage country, by providing modern sheds, studios, and other outdoor structures designed to elevate backyard spaces. The company offers a variety of tailored designs, including utility sheds, cabanas, pergolas, and studios. Specific product lines include the Essential Shed, which features a bold roof overhang and frosted transom windows; the Advanced Shed; the Cube Shed with low-maintenance steel siding; the EcoShed with a green roof; and the Suburban Shed with a round window. They also provide custom pergolas and private, fully insulated studios designed for working, training, or creating. The business emphasizes high-quality materials, noting that they use premium timber, including hand-stained pine and cedar siding. Founded in 2014 by Sebastian Kellner, Backyard Escape Studios was established to provide a high-quality alternative to flat-pack kits and long-term on-site construction. The company utilizes a specific model where structures are designed, prefabricated, and pre-stained in their Port Stanley shop to ensure quality control. This process allows them to deliver finished structures to a property and complete the installation in a single day, minimizing disruption for the homeowner. They provide free estimates based on photos and measurements, followed by design sketches and itemized quotes.
