About Century Mill Lumber

Century Mill Lumber is a specialty lumber yard located in the Westminster neighbourhood on Buchanan Court in London. Serving a diverse clientele that includes homeowners undertaking DIY projects and contractors building high-end homes, the business provides a wide variety of unique soft and hardwood lumber sourced from around the globe. The inventory features domestic softwoods such as douglas fir and western red cedar, alongside exotic hardwoods including mahogany, wenge, and lacewood. Customers can find specific products like ipe decking, lodgepole pine tongue and groove, and various white oak options in flat sawn, quarter sawn, and rift sawn varieties. Additionally, the yard stocks furniture-grade veneer core plywood—including walnut, Baltic birch, and marine grade—as well as eastern hemlock and live edge wood. To assist customers who may not have the necessary tools to process rough materials, the business offers several shop services for products purchased on-site, including planing, laminating, ripping and cutting, and custom mouldings for various profiles. With a history dating back to 1851, the business was founded by William and Sarah Ratcliff, who established a sawmill in Stouffville to serve surrounding communities. The company describes itself as a stalwart pillar of the community that has maintained a commitment to high-quality, sustainably-sourced lumber and fair pricing for over 170 years. The current team brings more than 100 years of combined industry expertise to help customers select the right materials for their specific needs.
