About Essense Salon and Sanctuary

Essense Salon and Sanctuary is a personal services and hair salon located on Wharncliffe Road South in the Manor Park neighbourhood of London. The business serves a diverse clientele, offering a space designed for guests to relax, unwind, and focus on healthy scalp and hair. The salon provides a variety of hair and beauty services performed by a team of stylists and estheticians. The business emphasizes professional standards and education, noting that stylist pricing is based on their specific level of experience and training. The facility is inclusive of diversity and features a designated private room. Founded in 1997 as Custom Cuts by Nicole, the business was born from a desire to create a warm and friendly work environment. In 2008, it was renamed Essense Salon, and in 2019, it expanded its space to include beauty services and became Essense Salon & Sanctuary after Angela joined as a partner. The salon has received several accolades, including the Consumers Choice Award for Business Excellence in 2019 and 2024, the Canadian Choice Award in 2024, and recognition in the Salon Today Top 200 for customer service.
