Museum London is an arts, culture, and entertainment venue located in the downtown area on Ridout Street North. It serves the local community and visitors by providing a space where art, history, and people connect to spark new perspectives. The museum describes its approach as making the past present to inspire fresh ideas and personal perspectives. The institution offers a wide range of experiences, including exhibitions, installations, and a living archive of over 5,500 artworks and 50,000 artifacts. Specific featured works include Kim Neudorf’s real_real, Amanda McCavour’s Double Shadow, and the Biscuits and Empire installation. Visitors can also participate in talks, tours, and special events, such as the Musician-in-Residence program featuring Shad, or community activities like Bingo Night. On-site amenities include Yaya’s Café for food and drinks, and the ML\Shop, which features creative gifts handcrafted by local artists. For educational purposes, the museum provides school programs for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. These include 60-minute art tours and studio programs where students engage in painting, sculpture, and printmaking using professional materials. The museum also hosts the award-winning Museum School, a week-long immersive learning experience coordinated by the London Heritage Council. Additionally, the museum provides outreach programs in partnership with Canada Life to support students from high-needs schools. School programs are available Tuesday through Friday during the school year, and visitors can book these experiences via an online form.
