About Satellite Project Space

SATELLiTE Project Space is a specialty retail and arts venue located in the downtown area of London, Ontario, on Dundas Street. It serves the local community by providing a flexible environment for artistic experiments, cultural collaborations, and educationally-supported projects. The organization offers various learning opportunities and mentorship for art students, focusing on areas such as arts administration, event programming, exhibition curatorship, and education. It functions as a testing ground for performances, residencies, artworks, and new collaborations. While it no longer maintains a permanent storefront at its previous location, it continues to host mobile on-site exhibitions at various partner locations through 2026 and operates a publishing outlet known as SATELLiTE: In Orbit. Established in 2015, the space is a partnership between the Fine Art Program at Fanshawe College and Western University’s Department of Visual Arts, which includes the School for Advanced Studies in the Arts & Humanities and the Faculty of Information and Media Studies. BealArt and Museum London served as founding community partners. The initiative aims to introduce the public to diverse contemporary art approaches while providing students with practical experience in production and programming.
