About Network for Business Sustainability (NBS)

Network for Business Sustainability (NBS) is a consulting and knowledge-sharing organization located in North London on Western Rd. It serves an international community of business leaders, scholars, and changemakers by providing evidence-based guidance on how to build a fairer and more ecologically sound world. The organization focuses on helping leaders think ahead by translating complex research into practical actions for business sustainability. The organization offers a vast library of resources, including over 800 items such as videos, blogs, podcasts, and reports. These resources are organized into six specific Knowledge Hubs: Climate Change, Circular Economy, Sustainable Finance, Sustainable Innovation, Social Justice, and Nature and Biodiversity. Additionally, NBS provides structured learning through online courses and credentials created by global university partners and hosted by Emeritus. These educational offerings include programs such as Sustainability Leadership: Innovation for Growth, Circular Fashion Management, ESG Investing, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Established in 2008, NBS is based at the Centre for Building Sustainable Value at the Ivey Business School at Western University. The organization describes itself as a collaborative platform where it co-creates content with a community of over 190 sustainability research centres located in business schools across six continents. NBS emphasizes an approach that considers how different sustainability issues intersect, aiming for systemic change rather than isolated solutions. Members can engage with the community by sharing their own research, experiences, or ideas to co-create content. The organization also provides a newsletter where subscribers can receive monthly content and invitations to share insights.
